Mahindra is one of the most reputed brand all over the world. It is good for mahindra and navistar if they both get success in USA. I think this both are so reputed that it wont be very difficult for them to introduce and get succcess in Scorpio-based pickups trucks in USA.

I'm still interested in the lil truck, if they'ed get off the pot and get to work getting it here. All of our domestic manufacturers have dumped plans for a small diesel truck and Nissan and Toyota putting theirs on hold due to our acidic diesel tearing up their prototypes (their dealers words not mine); we really won't have a choice soon. And the comments above about buying a bigger truck kind of defeats the purpose of a small economical truck that we (the public that is demanding them) want. Recently I emailed our domestic companies public relations depts. about the coming Mahindra truck and I was told that according to their marketing research Americans don't want a small basic diesel truck. When and where did they do their surveys(in the cities), I've never been asked in my driving history(in 30 years), I've never met anyone who has been asked (in 30 years). So it looks like the big three needs new input ( say like mass emails from the one buying their products (us)) to put them in the correct path...
Unless the big three get smart it looks like I'll be sending my money to india and a tr40 will be in my driveway when and if they get here...

These trucks are pretty cool and they would definitely throw a change-up to the current diesel market in the US. I don't agree with the above post that claims there is a soft demand in the US. I feel that the demand is as strong as it's ever been.
